Good Morning Everyone, Hope you are all well, I am looking for some guidance in regards to O&M Manual (Health and Safety) file. A department within the group I work for agreed to develop and provide an end of project Health and Safety file for the Principle Designer, but turns out that "know nothing " about producing one. I have never formatted one myself, could someone please guide me on this endeavor. Thank you in advance.

L153 on the HSE website, Appendix 4 will assist.

Hi Stephen Doing this right depends on a number of variables including how many end users of elements of the project there are, and the size and complexity of the project. But, as a rule of thumb there is stuff that ought to be in an O&M Manual that should not be in the CDM Health and Safety File(s), though possibly with links . If each is to be user friendly, you need to think about who will need to read these legacy documents going forward and the information that they will find useful and that which will just be padding, making it more difficult for them to find what they need. Appendix 4 of L153 is a good starting point, particularly for a relatively simple project with only one end user.
