Afternoon all,
We are currently fitting out a new office space (on eopen plan floor). I have asked the designers to include a private area where new and expectant mothers can rest or use as a lactation room, as per Workplace Regulations. A question has arisen on whether this requirement is restricted by available office space, or whether it's a requirement regardless. I can't find a specific answer. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks all.

(1) Suitable and sufficient rest facilities shall be provided at readily accessible places. (4) Suitable facilities shall be provided for any person at work who is a pregnant woman or nursing mother to rest. It states suitable facilities "shall" be provided what it does not state is that they must be "exclusivley for"
