Morning All,

In our first floor open office several people have complained of suffiering a static discharge, either when touching the aluminium door frames or ther computers.

The flooring is coverd with carpet tiles which may be the problem (expensive to replace) and a couple of pot plants are in place in theory to alleviate the problem BUT we're still getting a jolt.  Any suggestions to cure the issue?

Thanks in advance for any help given.

lower humidity with aircon, we get them often in the office, at home, getting out of the car, its a change in weather thats likely to have started it.

We had this quite a few years ago and we had people use the plant sprayers to spray water on the carpet to resolve.

Not sure how to address but it can also be associated with the clothing worn particularly for women tights.

Many years ago, and this is a true story, a lady was blown off her toilet by the reaction of static from her nylon tights and methane inside the toilet bowl.

Ladies concerned wear trousers and the male population is also affected.
