All,

Does anybody know of any expanding foam aerosol products that do not contain Isocyanates?

Whilst we are only likely to be using a few cans we also have no in-house way of measuring real world  Isocyanate exposure and the amont of use doesn't warrant contracting in an Occ Hygienist.

RPE is available but I am reluctant to mandate this as a first response if safer alternatives are available (I just can't find any)

Thanks in advance for any help

Every expanding foam I have ever seen an SDS for contains isocyanates in its formulation.

Perhaps rather than trying to find a new chemical the focus should be on reducing gaps so that standard sealants/cements/mortars/grouts will be effective?

The use of isocyanates will be changing in the coming years thanks to EU 2020/1149 which includes obligations on labelling and training https://www.legislation.gov.uk/eur/2020/1149/contents

As to monitoring HSL offers a urine test

Not sure if one or two cans a day of expanding foam would even register, let alone give a result.
