Does anyone know if formal training is required for erection of temporary proprietary weighted hand rail required..ie does it need to be treated like scaffold and erected by competent staff and signed off...its for work off a flat roof..similar to below https://images.app.goo.gl/VqZ7HMZFAEKuoWME7 ...or can anyone erect so long as instruction brochure followed?

Having seen company demonstrators struggling to erect this type of equipment I would say these are not devices you can just pick up the manual and safely deploy. I don't seem to recall the sales men mention that such devices were covered under standard carded training - ladders, scaffolds, towers.

Probably one where line two of the purchase order is "manufacturer training for x persons"

Thanks---I was only told at short notice Clients where using such a system for flat roof works---my first response was that it was a form of system scaffold and should be erected or at very least signed off by a scaffolder--I just want to ensure I am giving the Client the correct advice.
