Are you referring to what the constructon industry terms a "hop-up"?

Applicable ladder standards:

EN 131-1 – Ladder terms, types, functional sizes EN 131-2 – Ladder requirements, testing, marking EN 131-3 – Ladder marking and user instructions EN 131-4 – Single or multiple hinge-joint ladders EN 131-6 – Telescopic ladders EN 131-7 – Mobile ladders with platform EN 14183 – Step stools

Yes, it is the hop up type platform. i have seen the standards, but i cannot find any equipment of this type that complies with the two standards. When reviewing technical specs all i can find is "no standard for this catagory." Is this correct?

From the Ladder Association Code of Practice Version 2 Revision 0 July 2021:

Ladders are not legally required to comply with these standards. However, doing so helps to demonstrate that a ladder is a safe product and safe work equipment, which is a requirement of both consumer and workplace law.

Most "hop-ups" are themselves not covered by a written standard so it come down to assessment of the manufacturers specification versus the planned use.
