Our customer is wanting ot store air con equipment on site that contains Propane (1- 2kg) per unit. As propane is a Category 1 flammable liquid I read that the low tier limit in Schedule 1 would be 10 tonnes. Am I correct in this understanding or are they other provisions involved such as the small amount in each unit and the fact its not bulk storage in cylinders for example?

You would need to be storing 50 tonnes or above of LPG (Propane) before COMAH regulations apply

This is because LPG is specifically named in the regulations. The 10 tonnes limit is for flammable substances that are not specifically named.
