Hi, what would you identify as hazards in housekeeping and cleaning risk assessment? I included:

- slips, trips and falls

- use of cleaning products

- manual handling

- cleaning of high level objects/ windows etc

- use of electrical equipment

- exposure to communicable diseases

- collecting/ picking up sharp objects

- storing arrangements

Is there anything else that you would add?

Thanks

Kinga

Depending on the working arrangements and situation, there might also be lone working and/or violence.  Otherwise that appears to me to cover it.

It also depends on what is being cleaned and where. For example, if its a food factory then combustible and inhalable dust may be an issue from a DSEAR and COSHH point of view.  External cleaning may need to consider biological risks from the environment (bird droppings, rat urine etc.).

The only other thing (again location dependant) that I can think of would be noise. For exapmple, cleaning in a factory enviroment etc.
