Hi Liyan

Most of the time an employer can say just about what they like in terms of a person spec for a job.

However, if their parameter is to define a person spec that aligns with the European Qualifications Framework then your degree should compare fine with anything at similar EQF level but you might need to point this out.

So, if for example the job ad says somebody with a Diploma in Safety Practice from some European institution, then you need to identify where that particular qualification lies on the EQF scale and show that your degree is equivalent or better.

Good luck, Peter

Thank you Peter, I am already in the company and based in the UK, but we do need someone to cover EU offices and warehouses, so was wondering if I could take on the job, thank you for your reply and I think the anser would be YES? :)

This sounds more like one for your EU based HR people to answer.

I have heard that in certain EU countries there are regulatory requirements to do with refresher training, but I don't know the detail of these except that it isn't the same across the whole of the EU.
