We are going to commence cutting aluminium boards on initially a very small scale , iro 10 boards a week . Not having dealt with this metal before i am a little nervy looking at the comments regarding the expolsivness of aluminium dust. Having observed the cutting via a band saw with oiled blade there was no noticable dust just a small level of swarf.  On the assumption the amount to be cut will inevitability rise I was looking at obtaining a Class M extractor , but have seen some warnings that aluminium dust should not be collected with class M. Has anyone any experience of this type of issue.

Finely divided dry aluminium dust is potentially explosive - cutting swarf is a different beast.

Cutting fluid with metallic contamination is a problem for a wet filtration system not a dry air extraction.

Your problems will more likely be from biological growth in the cutting fluid.

Or you could invest in alternate cutting technology - plasma?

I've never done the New York Times crossword. Spent many an hour trying to solve crosswords in the Guardian with mixed success.

Is there some word for a spammer posting three times on the same day- bottriplicate?
