Happy new year folks. Could anybody point me in ther right direction of who could hire me a wireless fire alarm system for a small area. This is to supppliment the old one whilst works are being done. I can see you can purchase them but for a short period i would rather hire.
Thanks

What sort of fire alarm are you trying to hire? A manual (Cat M) type with manual call points and sounders only, or some kind of detection capabity too?
I have never heard of a need to hire a temporary fire alarm system while works is going on. Is it not possible to phase the works to isolate small parts of the system at a time and introduce a 'fire patrol' during this time?

We are putting in a new external fire escape and whilst thgis woirks is ongoing the risks increase on the escape routes being further travel distances. So i am wanting an ealier warning, than we have installed curently. I am wanting a small panel within the zone with 5 detectors in each near by room with once sounder and two call points. Once the external is completed. We can go back to normal

bigpub Are you the contractor, the client or both? On the basis of what you are written it sounds as if this is the addition of an external fire escape to occupied premises. I find it a bit scary that a contractor seems to be deciding on what temporary fire precautions should be put in place to mitigate increased risks to the existing occupants of the building (whether or not directly employed by the client for the project). This should have been sorted out during the design of the project. So what does the Pre Construction Information say? ...and who is the Principal Designer?
