Good afternoon,

Would I correct in my understanding that there are no reciprocal arrangements between the UK and EU regarding safety training and certification. i.e. and EU citizen having settled status, holds evidence of excavator training in his/her home country, and this not being recognised in the UK?

Many thanks

For someone to drive an excavator they have to be deamed compitent - the possesion of some kind of card can show why you think they can use it - but none of them are absolutly legal requirements, and if you feel comfortable with your systems, you could introduce inhouse training or accept previouse EU training - if something went wrong would just be harder to prove that compitence.
