Hi all, Just a quick question to find out which resources you all use to help identify the appropriate type of PPE required for chemical protecion, In this instance it's chemical gloves. I've identified gloves conforming to EN374, however i'm unsure how to find out which chemical protection level i need i.e., JKL I've found some tables online but nothing that states the specific chemicals in the safety data sheet for the chemical we use. I've approached the supplier of some of our other gloves who viewed our SDS and were unable to make any recommendations. Any advice please?

You have done the right thing in asking your glove supplier. My only other suggestion is to ask another glove supplier. Ansell are usually helpful.

Hi, You could try the Ansell guide. This lists different substances and the suitability of a range of glove types for that substance. A link to the 8th edition of the guide is provided below. It does relate to its own gloves.

Note: I am not endorsing or advertising Ansell products and have no links to Ansell. However, they have undertaken a lot of research in this area and the guide is a valuable general source of information, based on scientific principles. It shouldn't be ignored just because it was undertaken by a glove manufacturer. Hope it helps, Tony.
