Just wondering who actually pays the settlement of a claim against a NHS Trust who cause medical Negligence. Will they be insured or have they money set aside for such claims.

There is a sort of in house insurance team. I think thast they are called NHS risks. Not too sure. Interestingly, the shortfall in midwives would cost around £8bn to fulfill. Most medical negilence claims (from a cost point of view ) is due to birthing etc. But megilance payouts were around £46bn. If you are into this kind of thing, have a read of ther Private Eye magazine. There are other equally knowledgable magazines out there.
