There is a sort of in house insurance team. I think thast they are called NHS risks. Not too sure. Interestingly, the shortfall in midwives would cost around £8bn to fulfill. Most medical negilence claims (from a cost point of view ) is due to birthing etc. But megilance payouts were around £46bn.
