Hi PJA

One for the techies, but can you not retrieve your template from the "Cloud"?

Which failing, I would go to L144, the Approved Code and Guidance that supported CDM 2007 in preference to L153 the less helpful guidance that supports CDM 2015 for clues as to how to collate PCI.

Those nice people at HSE Northern Ireland still have L144 on their website. L144 Managing health and safety in construction - guidance | Health and Safety Executive Northern Ireland (hseni.gov.uk)

Why L144? - because it has a better idea of some the things that cause lots of harm, e.g. traffic on construction sites. Why some of the guidance on the contents of PCI that was in L144 got dropped in the drafting of L153 has always bemused me.

Then I would construct a paragraph to say that the PCI focuses on "significant risks" as defined on page 88 of L153, so that you are not telling competent duty holders how to suck eggs.

....instead providing site and project specific information as to things that meet the test of "significant risks".

Good luck, Peter
