That will depend on who has asked you to do this and why.  Is this an assignment question about a hypothetical business?  Is it a marketing exercise for a real business?  Is it about a real business that wants assurance of its processes (where unlike the marketing exercise where everything is perfect, the analysis might include a list of gaps)?

I am a little unclear about the type of business.  It sounds like a consultancy business that employs people to give H&S advice to clients.  Is that right?

It is for a business employing consultants and employees and relating to a Pre Qualification form for a contract.

I see, in that case what they are usually expecting is a short summary answer backed up by some company documents that evidence this.  This would ideally be in the form of procedures and records that you already have.  If not then you  may need to produce some that cover the expectations.  The documents you provide can be in any form that your organisation likes to use but should look professional (with your organisation's logo and issue control information and so on) and the assessor should be able to see easily how your process meets their expectations.  Flow charts are a perfectly good way of doing this.

Hi Christopher

Whilst I can see that this could quite easily be an assignment question I am going to assume it isn't!

This could be either or both of two question sets:

1. A typical prequal that asks you to explain how you manage health and safety in YOUR organisation.

2. Asking for evidence of experience relevant to the scope of services that the client may want to commission.

No 1 often assumes that the respondent has 5 or more employees and thus hits the threshold for various documents to be produced. May be this H&S consultancy has less and possibly you decide that you don't need to put every risk asesssment down in writing.

In my experience, No 2 would usually be dealt with not via prequal questions but rather the client setting out their brief (or draft brief) and asking the potential suppliers to set out proposals as to how they would deliver on same - including possibly defining the brief more closely.

Of course you might have to do both 1 and 2!
