Hi all, Looking for a little guidance in relation to FLT training please. We have an A3 counterbalance pedestrian operated stacker truck. Our usual training provider has certification to provide training for A5 pedestrian operated stacker trucks and B1 counterbalance Lift truck. The training provider has stated that whilst he holds both the A5 and B1 certification, these skills are transferable and therefore he is able to provide training for the A3 truck. Has anyone experienced this before please? Is this correct?
Much appreciated

Hi LS I can see the logic in what your provider is saying but if you want this to fully tick the boxes I suggest that you check what it says on e.g. the RTITB website. P

Fingers crossed I'll hear something back shortly. Appreciate your perspective

I would be careful here. The training provider may think the skills are transferable but they really should have evidence that they are deemed competent to provide suitable training on the equipment they are looking to train your people on. At the end of the day the equipment is different so you need to satisfy yourself that the training is suitable and sufficient
