Hi All,

I am looking at getting our warehouse guys to undergo pallet racking safety awareness training. Most courses seem to take me to a course where you conduct weekly inspections - don't need those as I already have pallet racking inspectors. Just wanting to get my guys signed off that they have an awareness of risks with pallet racking and no what to look out for w.r.t. to damages.

Any recommendations on who could deliver this?

Thanks in advance

One of your in-house inspectors?

Would certainly make it workplace relevant.

Not all education/training needs to be externally sourced to be certified - you can design in-house certificates for attendees

I agree with Roundtuit.

However, your use of and amount of racking, what items and articles are being stored, previous damage reports and if your assessment deems it high risk then maybe go with full on racking awareness training. You and your team should decide which route to follow.

Thanks both. I think that the amount of damages we have had. We need a proper racking awareness course rather than one developed in-house

Have used  SESS in the past as expert witnesses. I know they do training but have never used it, its always been 1 on 1 advice from one of thier inspectors as part of an investigation. Home - Storage Equipment Safety Service Ltd (sess.co.uk) Im sure there are similar companies out there.

Is it poor driving that is causing the problem. Might be better getting some targeted training carried out.

Roundtuit suggested that your response was not in the spirit of the Forums and the Rules appear to agree, if not say so rather more forceably.

8. Advertising of jobs, goods or services for commercial gain is not allowed.

8.4 All .... 8.5 All forum users may give brief details of a supplier or service in response to specific requests on the forum. Only simple contact details should be given on forum. Please note there is no restriction on sharing information via the private messaging facility.

So, I suppose the question that needs to be answered is whether your company does training of the type that the OP requested?

Incidentally, leaving your email address on a thread on a site which is marked with a warning triangle and the words "Not secure" might be a recipe for those intent on harvesting your details and hitting you with unwanted marketing communications - or worse.
