Afternoon all, I have been contacted by our warehouse landlord requesting that our stacks of empty wooden euro pallets are stored inside said warehouse. They are claiming that we are breaking our tenancy agreement by stoing these pallets in the common area. However we rent the block of three warehouses and the common area is not shared. Pallets are stored an approprate distance from the building as per our FRA, i dont really understand what their issue is. Director is keen to bend to their requests but i dont believe we should be risking our emplyees safety for a landlord with too much time on their hands any guidance would be greatly appreciated

Renting multiple units does not infer any rights to areas beyond what has been rented - you need to read the rental agreement. As to storing inside that becomes a debate with the insurers - I once visited a pallet making operation where pallets were stored inside as the factory was in the middle of a residential estate.
