Evening all
Not my specalist subject so reaching out for opinions.
A company we look after has decided against our advice to remove corrugated asbestos sheets about 20 in total after a forklift hit the building so there was numerous broken up pieces.
I assumed that as there was significant amounts of broken asbestos and the remaining boards were fragile from falling from the roof it wouldn't be deemed as non-licensed work?
No training at all apart from a line manage with an online asbestos awarness (High Speed).
The two employees were provided with PPE/RPE half masks (one of them with a full beard) After works were completed they were sent home by the employer in a works van to shower then return back, never heard of anything like this before!!
On site with them today and we could actually small (fist size) asbestos left behind. The asbestos was removed via a skip by a liscend contractor so no issues with that one.
Thanks in advance

Hi Andy A bit post the event but I think you would find there are two schools of thought when it comes to consideration of whether that initial removal of broke AC sheet was "non-licensable" work or not. If you read the HSE guidance Non-licensed work with asbestos (hse.gov.uk) ....it doesn't really fall into the list of examples on non-licensed, but it doesn't really fall into the list of example of what WOULD require a licensed contractor. You don't need someone to confirm that some other aspects of what you describe were not OK , whether "non-licensed" or not!
