Hello all, The CITB website doesn't state, or make it clear, for what is the latest edition of GE700 I have the 'Publication 2020' version, is anyone able to confirm or deny of a later edition please ?

Hi Pete On the assumption that this is YOUR nearly £100, do you ACTUALLY need the up to date version? Very little, if any, health and safety legislation that commonly applies in construction has changed since 2020. ...and at the end of the day, would GE100 be the authoritative source, or would you default to quoting from e.g. HSE guidance? When I started with HSE every new Inspector got a copy of the current edition of Redgrave's Health and Safety in Factories so I got the 1976 edition. A new edition came out and, somethat oddly, HSE demanded it back when I left, so they got a well-thumbed book, but I got to keep the 1976 edition. In my next job, I splashed out on the very latest Redgrave, now with a broader title "Health and Safety at Work". 2000 edition, but in practice it was the same number of pages but larger ones. However, the all important case law was in smaller font size than the 1976 edition, so since virtually all the important case law predates the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974, I almost invariably used the older book as my go to, and STILL do! Is it likely that anyone will notice if you carry the 2020 edition of GE700 around with you?

good points Peter, and as I'm only two days a week, as long as the two/fifths I need are the same I'm on to a winner. lol. (Man Logic at work here)... I do tend to 'sense check' most things via the HSE website if I'm considering changing any work methods or suggesting change in general so I think I'll keep the 2020 and carry on.
