Fire risk assessment qualification/course

I've been looking to get a fire qualification and found the ABBE Level 3 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment via the IFSM. This looks ideal for me. I'm a bit confused by it though. Vulcan Fire Training offer this qualification, but not as a course in itself. They offer a Fire Risk Assessor course, Manage Fire Safety course and Fire Manager course (the two courses combined). If you undertake these courses, you can pay £350 more to get the ABBE Level 3 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment. However, some other training companies such as Vraxis offer this qualification as a course, if that makes sense. And it comes out substantially cheaper. How have other people done this qualification?

JDizzle, coming back to your question, albeit three months late.... I think you need to consider your background and experience before deciding on whether a fire risk assessor course is for you. Despite the legislation post Grenfell, some appear intent on continuing to pretend they are competent to carry out FRAs on complex premises when they don't have appropriate qualfications and/or experience e.g. in fire and structural engineering issues.
