I've done several trials with matts, and been asking few suppliers to see if theres an effective matt, for when Forklifts come inside, that they can soak up some of the wet from the tyres...My area of work, has in the past, had an issue with the warehouse becoming extremely slippy due to water from the forklift tyres...Any ideas???

I know this is an old thread, but replying in case it's helpful to others. There are a few ways to reduce the amount of standing water on warehouse floors, mainly various types of matting. Permanent solutions include grid type products, which are mounted in a recess in the concrete. They have collection trays underneath where dirt can be captured and removed. This system requires some downtime for installation and doesn't absorb water as such. Since the date of the original post, specially made doormats have been developed to absorb water from forklift wheels. These Forklift Truck Mats work in the same way as a standard doormat with absorbent fibres on a rubber backing, except these are considerably more hard wearing. These two products will definitely help to remove a large amount of water from the Forklift wheels, but obviously can't completely eradicate it in challenging weather conditions. Using an anti-slip tape with a self-adhesive backing on the surrounding floors may also be a good idea to help boost grip levels, although this should be considered a temporary fix. I hope this helps!

Reported because user name First Mats obviously missed the forum rules on advertising and blatantly placed and ad for their business and its products (only reason OLD threads get resurrected)

Hoped it would be helpful information and come from a position of experience, also referncing to another company's product too for neutrality. Sorry if the post has offended :-(
