Good morning, Does anyone one this forum have experience of importing machinery, possibly as part of a global group where you utilise other group resources / machinery for incorporation into your own systems. I've recently started a new role in manufacturing We conform to the SMSR & Machinery Directive and incorporate lifting equipment occasionally from our sister company, outside the EU. If they're not using the ISO's listed to cover EHSR's, and instead using national standards, what would the best verification method be? From my NDip study I understood there to be an EU body that graded national standards in relation to their compatibility with CEN/CELENEC standards, which would give easier assurance processes. But for those coming out of Australasia or the America's, does any body on here know of a global body other than ISO that has harmonisation processes for standards in respect of Machinery? Or any further suggestions from experience would be greatly appreciated if my current scope of the problem is narrowed. THanks all

I've not imported machinery myself, but, we have assisted many companies who have imported equipment that is not CE marked with retrospective assessments and marking.
