Hi,

In terms of gas boilers, of which we have a few on site, is a CO monitor required in all instances,  just where there is a sleeping risk or is it based on risk assessment of where they are located, ventialtion and the potential exposure?  Just trying to understand what the actual need is.

Thanks in advance

I would have thought that you would need to assess how likely it is that fumes would enter the school premises.  I am assuming that your boilers are in boiler rooms which are compliant with requirements for the gas flues and ventilation.  Without more information I don't think anyone could say if you needed them or not.

Have you asked the gas engineer servicing the boilers  for some  guidance or perhaps the insurance company as they may set certain stipulations are part of the cover?
