Hi, I am currently updating our policies with regards to a pay supplement given to those who carry out extra duties. These duties are: First Aider, Fire Marshall, Evacuation chair, AED Operator. I am wondering if anyone has any information on the amount of extra pay given to employees for each of the above roles and also how this is set out - is there an amount for the first role taken on and then a lesser amount for other roles taken on there after? Any information will be gratefully received. Thanks Tonkers

It's totally dependant on what you want to do as an employer. I have carried out all of the duties you listed in a current or former role- I received an additional supplement as a first aider in my last role, that was it.

Thanks for responding. Paying is a supplement which we do and which we would like to continue doing. We currently pay £250 per annum for a first aider.
