Good Mornign All .
Hope you are all well .
I wondered if any of you have a copy of a Electromagnetic Fields Risk assessment . I work for an oil and gas service provider whom specialise in manufacturing pipe line installation equipment . Some of the activities are machining, welding and testing of a surface antenna during testing of modules.
I understand the risk but not sure of the exposure levels as the experts say distance is a good control measure but how do we know know what the distance is when we are exposed and safe area
Any help with this would be great
Thanks Mike

I am assuming that you have seen this https://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/books/hsg281.htm If you know what the output is (by measuring it or calculating based on manufacture’s data) you simply apply the inverse square law- double the distance quarter the exposure, triple the distance reduce the exposure by a factor of nine.
