Finding Work Overseas - Specific Recruiters

I'm giving serious consideration to leaving the UK in the next 12 months and was wondering how people go about finding work overseas? This isnt something I'd previously considered but various things are making me think it could be a good time to go. Are there specific recruiters who specialise in positions abroad? What countries look upon UK qualifactions favourable or are there any specific 'conversion' courses that people would recommend? I appreciate this is likely to depend on the host nation but just looking at options and how best to look at the options.

Hi, It depends on what your work experience has been so far (oil and gas, aviation, construction, FM, etc). For O&G, the bulk of recruitment is done through Intertek, NES global (in the GCC). Shirley Parsons also have a lot of jobs as I keep getting their alerts on LinkedIn through the people I'm connected. You have EdenFX in NZ and they recruit also internationally. Clarify your industry, think of an area where you'd like to relocate to and start approaching recruiters. UK quals and experience are valued in the Middle East and Asia. For North America you might have to sit for that mind numbing CSP exam. For ME, they love their acronyms, so please make sure you have some of them ready.
