I work for a public transport provider, which means that only frontline staff and managers (drivers, cleaners, engineers, controllers and their managers/supervisors) are considered essential.  All other teams, including my safety advisors, are not to visit our depots for the forseeable future.  We, however, still need to provide support to the those still in the workplace and wider assurance to the senior management team as to the effectiveness of our safety systems.

Does anyone have any experience, or ideas, on how this can be undertaken remotely?  We have the usual in place in terms of lagging indicators but need to be more proactive with our approach, without being too intrusive at a time our managers are dealing with reducing services and furloughing.

We have one of our safety reps as one of the few people still in the workplace so I have asked them if they are happy with the conditions and to speak up if that changes.
