Where has the original posting and the other reply gone ? do we actually have someone who moderates posts that are just an advert then? (hope so)

I am guessing the OP realised their post was in error and have deleted it. Personally I hate being left hanging so as the offending item was removed so was my response. Don't hold your breath for moderation - it isn't that quick.

Roundtuit Perhaps some moderation actually occurred. Poster could have deleted their message but not your reply (unless I am mistaken).
Agreed that it's rather unsatisfactory when the original message is removed and responses don't make a lot of sense in the absence of context. I could see someone looking for "Advice on going self-employed" without breaking the Forum rules. Has been done before.
However, on the basis of the responses that remain in place, I assume that the original message by oliverS95 went rather further than the title of the thread!
