I have a checklist that says 'ensure any hot water storage calorifiers have been pasteurised'. Not something I have come across before, never seen it mentioned in the log book. Is this more for if you a shuttinig down a system or re-opening one. We have a calorifier in the office and as our office has remained pretty much fully operational so maybe this isn't applicable?

It's a fancy form of words for saying that if you have hot but not VERY hot water standing, you should clear out e.g. shower heads (and any dead ends) before someone uses the shower.
