Disappointing role of IOSH in COVID-19 Crisis

All,
I am having several other paid memberships and IOSH being the most expensive one and when I compare the level of support or resources I see at IOSH is Zero. There is no point to be a paid member just to keep titles. Your competetion has dedicated pages for COVID-19 and support material is released on almost daily basis.
What support has IOSH provided to its members to deal and support the members to manage this crisis???
Absolutely disappointed.

Hi Yascer,
I must admit I'm not feeling your frustration here. Quite the opposite if anything. It feels like after an initial slow start of IOSH pulling together generic content out of the messages from WHO and HE we are now bombarded with invites to virtual events covering any and all aspects that the current crisis presents. In such an environment there will be a range of quality and relevance obviously, but I'm certainly not seeing a lack of amount of information to go at. Possibly a bit of overlap and repetition, and too much opportunistic self promotion by some, with limited quality or integrity control, but that seems to be the nature of the Institution currently.

Pretty sure there is more to H&S than just Covid-19. Your user profile is quite illuminating.

Perhaps think of Covid 19 as just another hazard that you have and apply your risk management processes accordingly, to identify the control measures you need to apply. If everything else is in control you must have that approach working well for other hazards.

Two posts of "involvement" in five years - one seeking the CMIOSH syllabus at year 3 and this one dismissing the cost of said post nominals.
You are a member, feel free to contribute against "Your (iosh) competition".

I suggest the OP looks at the IOSH website, where he will find a wealth of information on COVID.

I particularly recommend the webinar on "returning to work after Covid-19".
