Recognition of UK H&S competencies in Germany

Dear All,

Has anybody experience with recognition of UK H&S competencies in Germany als OHS Engineer and can advise on this topic?

I am asking as find a difference in requirement to have an engineering title. In the UK this is not seen as a prerequisite for a H&S profession, but in Germany this is seen as a prerequisite to be act as Occupational Safety Engineer. I am trying to find out what is the best solution to have competencies recognised (Anerkennung).

I suggest you make contact with the Verein Deutsche Sicherheitsingenieure as that is the association for safety engineers. As you are probably aware, the whole health and safety system in Germany is organised very differently from the U.K. with considerable involvement with their individual clients by the statutory insurance providers (Berufsgenossenchaften).
