Good afternoon I am keen to learn if there are any national databases or websites that would allow me to benchmark the HSE Performance of my company against a similar sized organisation working within a similar industry. I wouldn’t need to know the organisations name, just the HSE Performance. Thanks

CJ - you can find statistics for accidents accessible from both the OSHA (US) and HSE (GB) websites, noting that the methods of counting are different so not directly comparable. In each case these will give you numbers for individual industrial sectors, e.g. construction but getting from there to benchmarking with an organisation doing the same type of work within a sector, of similar characteristics (e.g. turnover) is not directly available. Some work done by industry bodies, but without knowing what sort of organisation you work for it is difficult to point you in a suitable direction.

Thanks Peter I was aware of the data from OSHA and HSE but as you say it doesnt delve in to the level of detail I'm looking for. My organisation is an Engineering Services provider to oil and gas along with a wholesale distribution.
