Confrontation management for street homeles workers

Hi
I am suporting on a voluntary + cost basis agroup of street homeles suport workers. My risk assessment indicates a need for training in dealing with confruntation often with intoxicated potentialy violent indviduals. Do any members here offer or can recomend such training?

Boab, there are lots of trainers out there who offer courses on this subject. Some will be better than others. Have you thought of asking similar organisations about their experiences. Your front line staff and their managers are likely to know people doing similar work. P

Talk to your Local Authority - they should have their staff who work in his area trained, and so could advise you on who they use.
