Training Database Software - Any thoughts on how best to hold staff data?

I am looking for suitable software that will hold the training records for my staff. Im currently using Excel but it is now becoming unwieldy. Is there an off the shelf package or someyhing similar out there? Regards Dave

Does your HR system have the ability to record training? We use ours for training records and I can get all the reports I want and it is easier than us trying to track things. We also book our training through the system which makes it streamlined.

Unfortunately not. We haven't got an HR system, just a time and attendance one.
