Morning all, whats everyones thoughts on ensuring all company vehicles, (small vans, 7.5 T luton vans & cars) carrying fire extinguishers?

Clearly there is the duty of care however, apart from the moral obligation, is there anyone who could comment on a legal obligation, I cant see anything specific in the RRFSO - but maybe its elsewhere?

I have just posted a simialr question regarding carrying of fuel in a works vehicle

A fire extinguisher may be required if you are carrying dangerous substances under ADR and CDG. but there are exemptions and quantities and what the activity is, which are not very clear.

all our vehicles carry  extinguishers as we carry paints, thinners etc on the vans. its part of the basic van equipment, along with triangles, heat foils, ice scrapers and spill kits
