Hi Donkey Assuming you mean IOSH CPD printing off and sending would be quite a task for anyone other than those starting the process. But, it's first about a Development Plan - that will vary according to where you are on your ladder of life, including e.g. whether you might be moving wholly or partly into health and safety as a change in career direction. The Development Plan is about thinking about the next 3 years and doesn't need to be in tablets of stone. Things get in the way however well we map our life out! Then it is about thinking about what you learn on a daily, weekly, monthly basis and not necessarily all at work. Anything that will help you do your job better. Then you have to decide whether this is something that you have learned that is new, something that strengthens your existing understanding or new managementish skills OR a mix of two or three of those. At present all you have to do is write reflective statements to explain what you have learned. There is a change to the IOSH CPD system in the pipeline which will revert to counting CPD in some form of units. But details of that are not yet published. The existing IOSH system is done online and may take a bit of time to get your head around. However, once you have passed that hurdle the system is relatively easy. You must update it at least every 6 months but in reality it would be much easier if you do it much more often. Remember that CPD is NOT all about going on courses or reading magazines. Much of it is about what you learn as you stretch yourself tackling new challenges whether solo or part of a team. Good luck, Peter

I agree with Peter that CPD is not just to reading Magazines etc. but what you understood, learned and same would apply in your practice.
