Hello, does anyone have a copy of the 45001 doc I can have?
I have suggested to a colleague that they might want get external training as lead auditor and would get it from there but not sure they have the budget.

This is a copyright document that may not be passed on in this way. It is indeed, as you suggest, generally provided as part of the material on ISO 45001 training courses - not just lead auditor but other courses about the standard as well such as "introduction to ISO 45001". Your legal options are: - Buy the standard
- Go on a course where the standard is provided as part of the training materials - Use one of the many resources available on the web which paraphrase or explain the standard without reproducing its text

lisar Someone could give you their copy of the standard, but not a photocopy for reasons given by Kate. But in practice very few people need a copy of the complete standard - as Kate has indicated the relevant parts as summarised are readily available online.

If you do an internet search for a particular clause then you can generally find the exact text of that clause. Ie I put it ISO45001 clause 4 and got https://isoconsultantkuwait.com/2019/03/15/iso-450012018-clause-4-context-of-the-organization/ They will get there in the end. If they were going to buy a copy, BSI know how to charge, so you may want to compare with buying it from ISO itself or another country. I suspect by your request this person does not work for a company that wants this, as the cost of the ISO standard will be small compared to the rest of it. The bigger companies often have implementation guides which can be helpful, and some clauses are almost identical between ISO9001 and ISO14001 etc. Apparently, the cost of the ISO is to reflect the work that went into creating them, which at first sounds fair enough. However, the big companies make hundreds of millions out of these standards and guess who have a great input to their creation – go on guess. Rhetorical guess that is. Chris

I completed my 45001 Lead Auditors course through a provider recently and still had to buy my own copy, so its not always a given through training providers either.

The passing on of copies of any of the International Standards can lead to issues during an accreditaiton visits. I have got copies of the three main standards, which I purchased in my previous life. I have known client managers to be a bit shirty around the fact that I owned a copy of a standard and my clients didn't.

BSI £198 v ISO 158 CHF (= approx. £125.81) Or if they can find someone with a copy who will let them read it (so long as they don’t copy it) Chris
