On one of our sites we very occasionally, once or twice a month maxium, have to unload a couiple of pallets or IBC's from a lorry. We are looking for a safe way of doing this. My preference is a counterbalance FLT, However management are relunctant to go down this route for such an infrequent operation. Does anybody know how infrequent unloading can be carried out safely and what equipment, apart from an FLT, can be used? Any ideas apprecated. Thanks

You ask the supplier to deliver by Moffett (FLT carried at the back of the lorry) typically these are used by construction supply companies but others do have access e.g. chemical distributors.

We use a palletline type company who have the motorized pallet trucks and tailift lorries which is another option . We have one that delivers crates of logs to our house as well, they use a similar thing to wheel the crate up our drive
