Hi all, I was always led to believe that an Appointed Person had to be contactable, however; not always on site and the Crane Supervisor had to be available on site at all times, however; not necessarily personally supervising the lifts, after the initial set up and discussions over the tasks to be carried out, with the slinger/signaller taking the responsibility of ensuring that the controls stipulated in the lift plan by the Appointed Person, were followed.
Anybody got any words of wisdom or clarity on the situation? Cheers, Steve
