Hello,

There is a new requriement under EU REACH Annex 17 whereby training for use/handling of diisocyanates is mandatory from August 2023. I am trying to understand if this will be a requirement for UK as REACH requirements are seperate.

Does anyone know if any EU REACH changes are automatically transposed into UK REACH? Reviewing the legisation uk it appears so...

UK REACH “6.  The training:

(a)must comply with any other requirements contained in any other legislation that relate to the delivery of the training elements referred to in paragraph 5, and

(b)is in addition to any other training required by any other legislation.”;

Is anyone familar with this?

Our supplier of diisocyanate based adhesives is changing their labelling to reflect the wording of the restriction and advising that training will be made available when the trade body has created some content.

Most of the ATP's & Restrictions under EU REACH/CLP were in place before Brexit (just awaiting their various implementation dates) and so become applicable under UK regulation.

Your reference for this is EU 2020/1149 of 3rd August 2020
