Hi all, I'm trying to do a HAVS assessment as our operatives use a breaker to break concrete, however, the exposure is not daily, its very random and only where required, sometimes every few weeks. How do I divvy it up as the HAVS assessment asks for 'daily exposure' which our operatives are not exposed to.

hardworkingdude The relevant regulations deal with standards that are set for a DAY. But do allow for assessments to consider a WEEK in certain circumstances. See Hand-arm vibration - The Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 (L140) (hse.gov.uk) Possibly that you are using some "calculator" that doesn't have the flexibility to consider high occasional daily doses in a the weekly context. If so that "calculator" may be an inappropriate tool for the circumstances you describe.
