Hi All-  We are looking at using a map to define PPE requirements across the site, Has anyone got any other good solutions for this?  - Ryan

Hi Ryan

I can see that a map might work if conditions in each part of the site remain reasonably constant.

But there is a risk that you end up with blanket requirements ("Golden Rules" or similar words) where you end up putting people into unnecessary PPE which may actually increase the risks - the common problem of deciding on a precaution without considering the DISbenefits that it might introduce.

What happens when someone enters an area of the map without appropriate PPE? I can see non compliance issues occurring. Obviously will depend on environment that you work in.
