We have a process on a number of machines that produces ozone as a by product (plasma corona treatment).

I understand the requirements for controlling exposure to employees, however I'm struggling to figure out what our environmental requirements are.

Under The Environment Act 1995, the governemt has produced their Air Quality Strategy. This states a limit of '100µg.m-3 not to be exceeded more than 10 times a year'. But this seems to apply more to general UK air quality rather than local industrial emissions.

Is anyone aware of the regulations governing ozone emissions and any applicable limits?

The extraction for each machine is vented at minimum 3m above the roof of the building.

The Air Quality Standards Regulations 2010 - SCHEDULE 3 - Target values Ozone

Objective: Protection of human health

Maximum daily eight hour mean 120 μg/m3 not to be exceeded on more than 25 days per calendar year averaged over three years

There appear to be no "stack" monitoring values for business purposes currently in force within the UK.

The ozone molecule is very unstable so any issues with it tend to be localised, so there might be elevated levels near a main road, where it is continuously being replenished. It is mentioned in EH40 and you should be managing workplace exposure under that.
