Obviously, lockout, tag out, try out procedures are required when maintenance work is being undertaken, but what if you need to run machinery to fine tune it, such as tracking a conveyor belt?

This seems to contradict all we do for LOTOTO. What control measures are to be put in place?

You make sure the required adjustment device is accessible beyond the physical control measures - in the case of the track of a conveyor the adjustment wheel extends to be outside the guarding.

Or you have a control system activated beyond the guard such as a push botton or lever that operates a jogger motor operating inside the guarding.
