Hi,

Considering participating in one of the following courses as part of my 2023/ 2024 CPD.

Level 4 Diploma in Fire Risk Assessment

or

Level 5 Diploma in Fire Safety and Risk Management

Any thoughts on pros and cons ? anyone done either course with advice ? The level 5 is half the cost but not sure its as good as the level 4 if i was to go down the Fire Safety Assessor tier route.

Currently have NEBOSH FS Cert

Apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum, but thought more people read this than the careers forum

Thanks

Hi Michael

You might get better responses if you provide links to the two courses you are weighing up.

However, instinctively if a Level 5 course is cheaper than a Level 4 one, this should possibly set alarm bells ringing unless the Level 4 course if overpriced.

Ultimately like any other training the quality depends on content and the ability of the presenter(s) to field most, if not all, of the questions that are likely to be thrown at them.

Of course if either of these courses is by e-learning then there is less opportunity for audience interaction which is sometimes the most valuable part of any training as it gives those attending the chance to discuss real life problems.
