Hi All, Any idea on the stesting regime for Portable Power Distribution Boards? Do they require any more than a risk assessment and PAT test from a compentent person? Steerage very much appreciated. Edited by user 13 November 2023 15:38:36(UTC)

Does this type of equipment have a manual? If so, the answer should be in there.

Frank If this is the type of board which has sockets only then the PAT Test is fine. If it has its own built in MCB breakers and RCD/RCBO units then first there is the PAT Test element as portable equipment, but once connected to an electrical supply they should be tested against the requirements of BS7671 to ensure that the earth loop is correct and that the RCD Tripping times are correct.
