In our paint booth we have a big caged ICB's tote where the painter discharge paint when flushes the spray gun with solvent.  I have checked the manual instruction and the information given on this says that the gun must be pointed down into a grounded metal container. I'm assuming that the ICB's tote is still ok for this task?

If it states a "grounded" container is there an earth bonding strap between the IBC cage and a suitable earthing point (cold water pipe, structural steel beam etc.)?

Where a discharge may be affected by static there is a tendency to use something that looks like a battery jump cable to clip between. Normally these will be fixed at one end (the earth attachment) with a crocodile style clip for attaching to the moveable container.
