Posted By Lee Daniels I want to check that the collision barriers we have installed to protect process plant from vehicle collisions are of adequate strength. Does anyone know of any standards for collision barriers on industrial sites (BS, EN or other)?

Posted By Ken Taylor Part K3 of the Building Regulations requires vehicle barriers to floor or roof edges to be at least 375mm in height and capable of resisting forces set out in BS 6399. For ramp edges the height should be min. 610mm. Obviously risk assessment and the suppliers/manufacturers guidance are needed but the above may also assist.
